Introduction

The Formartine and Buchan Railway was a railway line that ran from Aberdeen to Peterhead and Fraserburgh in the north-east of Scotland.

Opening in 1858, the line served the area for over a hundred years, finally closing to passenger traffic in 1965 and freight in 1979.

The Buchan Line - Aberdeen to Peterhead route for Train Simulator Classic recreates the line as it was in the mid 1960s, around the time of the transition from Steam to Diesel.
